All e-bikes sold in the US are made with parts from overseas, even if the final assembly is done here. Just the nature of the market right now, sadly, although there are efforts underway to establish bicycle parts manufacturing in the US in coming years. Lectric e-bikes use standard components from some of the biggest name brands so there should be no problem with replacement parts, and parts from other suppliers can be easily substituted as needed :)

I was recently in Amsterdam for the first time and I instantly loved the city. The first thing I noticed being in the city was how quiet it is without all the cars making noise. Part of my preparation for visiting Amsterdam has been watching many of your videos, which unsurprisingly helped me have a greater appreciation for being in a pedestrian city with so few cars. I have been to quite a few pedestrian cities, but this was my first time being in one that was without heavy car traffic. I quickly recognized that it isn’t crowds of people I dislike, but instead car traffic and everything being spread farther apart that I don’t like about car cities. My one complaint about Amsterdam is the garbage pickup. Sure, everyone had neatly tied their garbage bags before putting them outside for early morning pickup, but I am an early morning person and I saw so many seagulls and other birds, ripping open the trash bags and throwing trash everywhere to get at the food in the bags. I think Amsterdam should figure out a way to safely hold the trash bags in a way that the birds can’t make such huge messes.

Just a few FYI for the V12. 1) The Fancy Mode is what unlocks the Higher Top Speed. The reason you could not set speed limit past 34 is because you had it on normal 2) You control the Bluetooth Speaker volume for Music with your phone, not the wheel. I think the speak is 10 watts, should be able to hear it 50 yards if not a ton of noise nearby. I normally play music when I ride, it helps people to know I am coming through. 3) I think the speaker allows you to connect to any Bluetooth, not just another wheel. Maybe bring a small portable speaker with higher watts on the ride 4) The stock and 3-D printed seats are trash for the V12. Best option is buying a comfortable seat on Amazon or eBay and tie it down with Hose clamps. That is what i did and it works. I mostly ride my V12 seated, have rode for 2000 miles and no issues. The stock seat hurt my rear and "sack" after a few miles of riding

Whos pocketing my incentives? Someone must be because everything seemed fine until all of a sudden the program has practically been pulled. There's million of dollars in this fund and if this program doesn't get rolling here then that money aught to be given back to the tax payers along with compensation for all the time some of us has put into the program and just for the hardship and grief that they have caused to all of us. Get it together or get out and make way for the ones that can get ish done. It sounds to me like excuses before this program even ran into a wall. Did someone foresee what was to come or did someone realize if they put up road blocks and the program gets delayed for a couple of years then all the funding goes into their nonprofitable bank account? Whos investigating this halt? Who decides there must be UL approval for this and that? Seems to me if delays are made with excuse after excuse for safety then this program was doomed before it even started. What elected officials need to be fired? The roads were fine for ordinary bicycles so don't act like there's a concern all of a sudden for public safety now all of a sudden. All I'm hearing is blah blah blah, just let us know when we can go get our ebikes.

I agree with you on the Trike needing turn signals that is what is keeping me from going ahead and buying plus a horn of some type and NOT A BELL!!! Plus in my opinion the tail lights need to be a little higher up like towards the middle of the fender where it would be a little more visible and maybe some type of side lighting so it (Trike) can be seen a lot more readily from the side in case your making some kind of turn like to the left or right the extra side lighting would make you more visible instead of just relying on the reflectors, living in Texas the day rides we limit because of the heat and humidity where at night it is a lot cooler

I think so but it does depend somewhat on personal preference and how you'll be using it. Here's why I like the Radster: - available in different sizes so easier to get a good fit - feels more agile thanks to the smaller tires - torque sensor - NFC unlock is awesome Overall the Radster feels a bit more polished and premium. However, the XPeak can go on more terrain (including sand and snow) thanks to the fat tires. And I think Lectric is doing the "get a free extra battery" deal still, which is pretty darn good value.

I am currently ordering an Anthem, I have a nice commute with mostly 35mph, and a 2.5 minute 55 mph section, basically an exact map to the UDDS. I first had a diesel Jetta I saved from a field. Then went to a Chevy Volt that I drive 90% electric. Now transitioning to the Anthem! I have been searching for that "Gap" because my commute has a few minutes at 55, I don't want an e-bike but don't need a Zero. The only frustrating thing I am dealing with is The bike will probably be taxed the same as a Tesla here in TN. We have a flat rate $200 tax added to all electric vehicles. and $100 for hybrids like my Volt. I previously had a 1981 Yamaha which was my first road bike, I used to commute for 2 years, rain or shine! before that I rode trials bikes up in the Colorado Rockies. Gates c1.12i is on 3500 bikes just not electric in USA but then all the other parts on non ebike are worth more than all parts on this by far. Still 2000 for a c1.Xi is nice for full build

What is that annoying noise from the motor? My xpeak has the 750w as well and doesnt have that whining sound..Is that sound on all xpeditions?

I can't comment if they all sound the same, the test bike I was on might have had a problem 🤷🏻 but the XPedition motor is louder than the XPeak. The XPeak was the first one to use the M24 Stealth motor which is more quiet, it's also used on their new XPress model.

The Eovolt Afternoon Pro is promising but it's too heavy at 43 pounds and too underpowered with its 250 watt motor. If the Eovolt Afternoon Pro were made from titanium, under 30 pounds and with a 500 watt motor, it would be a revolutionary folding bike. As it is now, the Eovolt is another nice folding e-bike in an already crowded space. A direct competitor is the ADO Air Carbon, also with a 250 watt motor, weighing 27 pounds, and made from carbon fiber. It's far cheaper too. At $2200, the ADO Carbon is the same price as the lower spec'd Eovolt Afternoon. The Afternoon Pro will still be far heavier than Ado Air Carbon and the Afternoon Pro will cost $700 more than the Ado Air Carbon too. Unfortunately, both Bafang motors on the ADO Air Carbon and Eovolt is NOT UL Certified for use in the US, making ownership illegal in many states.

The ADO is only a single speed , and that is no option for people who don´t live in the flat land.
